6 Days: Agadir to Erg Chigaga by 4x4
Take the time to experience the magic of the South. This 6-day tour is designed for those seeking deep immersion. From the dizzying Todra Gorges to the ancient manuscripts of Tamegroute, and into the absolute silence of Erg Chigaga—prepare yourself for a life-changing adventure.
Day 1 : Agadir – Taroudant – Ouarzazate
Departure at 8:00 AM for Taroudant. We’ll explore its ancient ramparts and vibrant souks before heading to Taliouine (the heart of saffron country). After a stop in Taznakht, we’ll end the day on a high note with a visit to the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou ksar.
Night: Comfortable hotel in Ouarzazate.
Day 2 : Route des Kasbahs – Dadès – Todra
We head up the Valley of the Roses via scenic off-road tracks. After admiring the “Monkey Fingers” rock formations in Dades, we reach the giant cliffs of the Todra Gorges.
Night: Hotel in the heart of the Tinghir palm grove.
Day 3 : Massif du Saghro – Zagora
Crossing the volcanic massif of Saghro—a spectacular lunar landscape. We’ll pass through Alnif (home of fossils) and Tazarine to reach the Zagora oasis, the historical cradle of the Saadian dynasty.
Night: Hotel in Zagora.
Day 4 : Zagora – Tamegroute – Erg Chigaga
A cultural morning spent with the potters and the ancient library of Tamegroute. Then, it’s time for the big leap into the Sahara! By 4×4, we head into the giant dunes of Erg Chigaga. On the agenda: a camel trek and a breathtaking sunset over the sand ridges.
Evening: Traditional dinner and a night under the stars. Night: Authentic nomad desert camp.
Day 5 : Lac Iriqui – Foum Zguid – Taliouine
A magical wake-up at sunrise. We’ll cross the dry Lake Iriqui—an infinite expanse—and hunt for fossils in the heart of the desert. Then, we head back up towards Taliouine, crossing the rugged mountains of the Anti-Atlas.
Night: Charming boutique hotel in Taliouine.
Day 6 : Taliouine – Agadir
Enjoy one last Moroccan breakfast before heading back down to the coast. A final farewell to the ramparts of Taroudant before returning to Agadir in the late afternoon, with a head full of unforgettable memories.
