Day 1 : Marrakech → Kasbah Aït Ben Haddou
We hit the road at 08:00 AM right from your hotel in Marrakech. We’re diving straight into the High Atlas Mountains and the famous Tizi n’Tichka pass. Get your cameras ready: the Berber villages and landscapes are simply incredible.
We continue through the Ounila Valley to visit the Telouet Kasbah, the former palatial residence of the powerful Glaoui family. After a delicious traditional lunch in the village, we head to the world-famous Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah. This UNESCO World Heritage site is where classics like Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia were filmed. We’ll spend the night at a hotel to recharge your batteries for the adventure ahead.

Day 2 : Aït Ben Haddou → Désert de l'Erg Chigaga
Tapis de Taznakht, Aventure 4×4 et Coucher de soleil
On quitte Aït Ben Haddou pour rejoindre les dunes de l’Erg Chigaga. Petit arrêt à Taznakht, le spot idéal pour voir les coopératives de tapis tissés par les femmes du coin. Ensuite, direction Foum Zguid, le dernier rempart avant le vrai Sahara.
On entre dans le vif du sujet avec le désert, ses oasis cachées et le mystérieux lac Iriqui (un vrai miroir naturel). On arrive à l’Erg Chigaga pile pour le coucher du soleil sur les dunes, avant de passer votre première nuit dans un campement traditionnel.

Jour 3 : Erg Chigaga → Zagora
We leave Aït Ben Haddou behind and head for the dunes of Erg Chigaga. First stop: Taznakht, the perfect spot to visit local women’s cooperatives and see their world-famous hand-woven carpets. Next, we push on to Foum Zguid, the last outpost before entering the true Sahara.
Now, the real adventure begins! We dive deep into the desert, discovering hidden oases and the mysterious Lake Iriqui (a stunning natural salt flat that looks like a mirror). We’ll reach Erg Chigaga just in time for a breathtaking sunset over the dunes, followed by your first night in a traditional desert camp.

Taznakht Carpet Cooperatives: A colorful dive into local Berber craftsmanship.
Foum Zguid & Desert Landscapes: Leaving the roads behind for the wild Sahara.
Lake Iriqui & Hidden Oases: Exploring the vast, silent beauty of the dry lake.
Sunset & Night at Erg Chigaga: Dinner and stargazing at our traditional camp.
Day 4 : Zagora → Gorges du Todra
After coffee, we head up the Draa Valley, with its thousands of palm trees and ancient Kasbahs, then cross the Jbel Saghrou volcanic mountains. We’ll stop in some super picturesque Berber villages along the way.
Next stop: Tinghir, the gateway to the Todra Gorges. You’ll walk between limestone cliffs soaring 400 meters high—it’s absolutely breathtaking! We’ll spend the night in a super cosy guest house right in the heart of nature.

Draa Valley & Its Kasbahs: A journey through Morocco’s longest palm grove.
Jbel Saghrou Volcanic Formations: Rugged, lunar-like landscapes.
Tinghir & the Todra Gorges: Walking through the most impressive canyons in the country.
Cosy Guest House Stay: Peace and quiet surrounded by stunning scenery.
Day 5 : Gorges du Todra → Fès
For our final day, we head back through the High Atlas, stopping in Midelt—the apple capital of Morocco—for lunch. We continue into the Middle Atlas, journeying through lush cedar forests where you might even spot some friendly local Barbary macaques!
We’ll pass through Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its European-style architecture and serene atmosphere. We expect to arrive in Fès around 06:00 PM. That’s a wrap on an incredible journey filled with unforgettable moments!

The High Atlas & Midelt: A scenic drive through the apple-growing heart of Morocco.
Middle Atlas Cedar Forests: Meeting the famous local monkeys in their natural habitat.
Ifrane: Discovering the unique “Switzerland of Morocco.“
