Morocco 4×4 Tour: Adventure & Culture
Day 1 : Marrakech → Vallée du Dadès
We kick things off at 08:00 AM. Our journey begins by crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the famous Tizi n’Tichka pass ($2,260\text{ m}$). Get your cameras ready—the Berber villages and mountain panoramas are absolutely stunning!
Next, we follow the Ounila Valley toward the Telouet Kasbah, then head to Aït Ben Haddou (a UNESCO World Heritage site), the natural film set for countless cult classics. After lunch, we drive through Ouarzazate and the Rose Valley, ending the day in the superb Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight stay in Dades.

Telouet & Aït Ben Haddou: A journey through history and world-famous cinema locations.
Rose Valley & The Route of a Thousand Kasbahs: Stunning landscapes and traditional architecture.
Day 2 : Vallée du Dadès → Zagora
After breakfast, we take in the panoramic views of the Dades cliffs before heading to Tinghir to explore the Todra Gorges and their soaring 400-meter-high walls.
We then head south, driving through the rugged, volcanic landscapes of the Saghrou Mountains to reach the Draa Valley, the largest palm grove in the country. We’ll arrive in Zagora, the “Gateway to the Desert,” by late afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay in a charming guest house.
Highlights of Day 2:
Todra Gorges & Tinghir Oasis: Walking between massive limestone cliffs.
Saghrou Mountains: Exploring dramatic volcanic rock formations.
Draa Valley Palm Groves: A lush green paradise stretching as far as the eye can see
Day 3 : Zagora → Désert de l'Erg Chegaga
Morning stroll through the Zagora oases and a visit to the Amzerou Kasbah (the historic Jewish quarter). We then head to Tamegroute to discover its 16th-century Koranic library and its famous green pottery workshops.
After lunch in Mhamid, the real adventure begins: 2 hours of off-road 4×4 driving across sandy plateaus and dry riverbeds (oueds). We’ll reach the majestic dunes of Erg Chigaga just in time for a memorable sunset. Night in a traditional desert camp: campfire, drums, and Berber songs under the stars.

Tamegroute’s Heritage: Ancient manuscripts and unique artisanal pottery.
Deep Desert 4×4 Adventure: Thrilling off-road driving through wild landscapes.
The Vastness of Erg Chigaga: Morocco’s largest and most remote dune field.
Day 4 : Désert de l'Erg Chegaga
A gentle wake-up call to catch the sunrise over the sandy ridges. After breakfast, enjoy a 2-hour camel trek to experience the absolute silence of the Sahara.
Savor a nomadic lunch prepared by your guide in the shade of a tamarisk tree—think traditional bread baked in the sand and delicious grilled meats. The afternoon is dedicated to relaxation and contemplation before another magical evening under the desert stars.
Highlights of Day 4:
Spiritual Sunrise: Watching the dunes change color as the world wakes up.
Camel Trek: A slow-paced journey into the heart of the dunes.
Traditional Nomadic Lunch: An authentic culinary experience in the wild.
Day 5 : Erg Chegaga → Marrakech
We set off in our 4×4 toward Foum Zguid, crossing the vast, dry expanse of Lake Iriqui and exploring plateaus rich in prehistoric fossils. We’ll drive along the dramatic ridges of Jebel Bani before a lunch break in Taznakht, the famous capital of Berber carpets.
Final crossing of the High Atlas Mountains as we make our way back to Marrakech, with an expected arrival around 06:00 PM.
