Day 1 : Mhamid – Erg Zahar
An Express Immersion into the Heart of Erg Zahar
This short excursion is the perfect way to experience your first desert adventure—both intense and authentic. Although it’s only a one-night trip, it promises unforgettable memories.
The Journey Begins
Your adventure starts in the morning, departing from the village of M’hamid, the true gateway to the Great Sahara. From there, we set off in a 4×4 off-road vehicle through small dunes and wild landscapes. After about a 2-hour drive, we finally reach the majestic dunes of Erg Zahar, one of the most beautiful dune fields in the Moroccan Sahara.
A Moment Out of Time
Upon arrival, we set up our mobile camp before enjoying a delicious traditional lunch. The rest of the day is yours to fully embrace the surroundings:
Hike to the top of the dune crests,
Contemplate the vastness of the desert,
Enjoy moments of pure peace and serenity.
A Magical Evening
As the day draws to a close, you’ll witness a breathtaking natural spectacle: the sunset over the high golden dunes. The evening continues around the campfire for dinner, in a warm atmosphere filled with the rhythm of traditional desert music (drums). Finally, you will spend the night in a nomad tent within a small mobile camp nestled in the heart of the dunes.

Jour 2 :Erg Zahar – Mhamid
A Gentle Awakening
In the early morning, you’ll be woken by the soft light of dawn to watch the sunrise over the dunes: a suspended moment, both magical and peaceful. After taking in the view, a hearty breakfast will be served in the open air, facing the vastness of the desert.
The Journey Back
Then, it’s time to head back to M’hamid by 4×4, retracing our route through the desert landscapes. We expect to arrive at the village mid-morning, marking the end of your Saharan escape.
